<p>The burner comprises a burner head (14) with a blind axial bore (40) ending in a number of first nozzle orifices (42) equi-spaced around the circumference of the head and with their centre lines outwardly inclined relative to the centre line of the burner. The head has a number of second nozzle orifice (44) co-axial with and connecting with the first orifices, but having a greater diameter than the first orifice. A number of axial ducts (46) are equispaced around the central bore and connect with the transitions of the first to the second orifices. The waste gas is supplied to the ducts and a second gas, at higher pressure, is supplied to the central bore so as to produce ejector action on the waste gas. The mixture so produced is injected into a combustion chamber in the form of a cone at high pressure so that combustion air is drawn in.</p> |
