Valve with chamfered butterfly - has passage with elastic liner seating on butterfly rim

The butterfly valve may be used to control the flow of liqs. at temps. of 200-250 deg.C, and has a butterfly axis (1) which is perpendicular to the direction of liq. flow. The rim of the butterfly (2) may be chamfered to a point to reduce friction and the valve passage may be provided than internal elastic lining (3). The butterfly, thus, seals by a pressure contact of a knife-edge with the conduit liner. The butterfly shaft (5) is rotated to control the valve, and may be rotated by electro-magnetic relay, by electric motor, or by a mechanical pneumatic or hydraulic drive.
