The compressor housing consists of two half-shells (6, 7) which are identical to each other and cut along a vertical plane, said plane being oriented perpendicularly with respect to the through-axis for the bearing-support seats of the crankshaft. These half-shells are obtained by means of pressure casting and comprise bottom lateral mounting brackets (8) provided with holes (10) for fixing the structure by means of bolts. Each half-shell (6, 7) is provided with one of the bearing-support seats as well as a through-hole (13) for insertion of the shaft, with closure of the exposed hole by means of a leakproof stopper. The identical half-shells enable a single mould to be used for casting them; moreover there are none of the disadvantages resulting from complications during the assembly of parts which are not identical to each other and cut along a plane corresponding to the crankshaft. <IMAGE> |
