1436151 Axial-flow and mixed flow pumps; turbines KLEIN SCHANZLIN & BECKER AG 11 Oct 1973 [14 Oct 1972] 47644/73 Headings F1C and F1T The inclination of rotor blades 21 of an axialflow or mixed flow turbomachine, e.g. a turbine or, as shown, a vertical pump, is effected by an electric servomotor comprising a stator 4 fast in the hub 3 of a flow divider 2 fixed in the pump inlet 1, and a rotor 8 on a shaft 9 acting via a reduction gear to adjust the blades, and enclosed within a can 7 positioned between the stator 4 and rotor 8 and fast with the pump impeller rotor 6 to define a liquid tight enclosure for the rotor. The reduction gear drives an axially-movable collar 14 on a screw shaft 12 and acting on offset pins fast with the blades via links 17. Again, the collar 14 may act on the blades via an annular groove, sliding limits or double shafts. |
