<p>The two-part electric connector has a number of contacts on each part with relative movement. The contactor has inserts, located after assembly between one part (14) contact (17) and the respective contact (19) of the second part. The insert is in the form of an insulating elastomer block, containing conductive particles which provide, after compression, a conductive path. A cam engages both parts and can be moved in relation to these parts from a rest to an effective position. This movement provides displacement of the parts in such manner that the respective contact are also moved, thus providing the compression of the insert up to their conductive condition for connection of the respective contacts.</p> |
