The mould for obtaining core samples from concrete floors comprises two separate components, one fitting within the other. The outer element consists of an inverted frustum of a cone (A) of metal or cardboard. An inner cylindrical tube (B) having the same overall diameter as the opening in the narrow end of the cone is placed vertically within the cone. Both elements have the same height and are positioned so that their upper edges correspond with the upper surface of the poured concrete. When set, the conical plug and inner cylinder of concrete can be readily removed due to the tapered shape of the outer element. The cylinder of material (14) may then be pushed out of the central tube.
|
