Insert for a pair of dividers fitted with a pin plug for coupling with the leg of the dividers and having a receptacle for the drawing or writing utensil. The receptacle (1) of the insert is made as clamping holder with adjustable opening cross section. The clamping holder grips the drawing and writing utensil (18) provides a clamping grip at six points of it's circumference and in three planes in the direction of it's longitudinal axis. The receptacle (1) consists of two fixed enclosure sections (7b) positioned at a distance from each other between which a slider moving parallel to their plane is adjustable.
