Automatic gritting control for car - operated by differential output from wheel driven generators upon occurrence of wheel spin

The vehicle is fitted with separate electric generators driven by the rear wheels. The generator outputs are rectified and coupled to a relay which operates when the signal difference exceeds a set value. The relay operates the grit release when one of the wheels spins. The system is adjustable to suit different vehicles and different axle strengths.
