Construction of subterranean section of power station - for waste heat utilisation, using known and new building elements

A pressure cylinder is set up in a terrain comprising loose material by means of a circular injection down to the lowest level. The bottom partition is produced in the shape of a dish by partial injection, before the actual excavation. The central section below ground is surrounded by an apron forming a water storage reservoir which is covered over with the excavated spoil. This apron holds back the outside cold ground water table and encloses heated cooling water, the heat of which is used in heat pumps or turbines or is distributed through a communal hot water network. Prefabricated building units of PVC are used as load bearing partitions and covers, etc. The thermal efficiency of a power station is increased and damage to the environment by waste heat is avoided.
