Appts. for cyclic distribution of heating energy to the cooking chambers of a baking oven comprises a direct feed circuit with a normally closed switch, and a controlled feed circuit with a normally open switch and a series-connected switch positively controlled by a cam which is rotated by a motor sullpy to which depends on series-connected switches with a number equal to the number of chambers and actuated by temp. detectors. The series-connected switches are doubled up to control supply to a relay which controls delayed closing of moveable contacts interposed in the connecting lines between one of the sullpy wires and the direct and controlled feed circuits. The cams are staggered on a common drive shaft to allow constant closing of only a number of switches comprising 0.5-0.8 of the total number of chambers.
