<p>The safety coupling is fitted to a reversible plough, permitting this to pass over obstacles. It has a fixed hitch (3) on the tractor, a triangular plate (1) having a cylindrical bearing surface (7, 8) at each end (1a, 1b). A swivel joint (6) is positioned centrally between these, the rod of an hydraulic ram (15) being fixed to the swivel. The ram is inside the central beam (9) of the plough (10, 11) held by a rear fixing (16). The front of the beam has a triangular plate (12) with semi-circular recesses (13, 14) corresponding to the hitch's bearing surfaces. The hydraulic circuit is under constant pressure, being coupled into a nitrogen bag system.</p> |
