The distributor is designed esp. for telephone systems, with connections for incoming and outgoing lines, each brought together in a group to form a comb-type plug-in connector. The whole assembly is in the form of a frame with plug-in cards. Each card (5) is provided with switching and protective mechanisms for the leads (7, 8) permitting their connection isolation, testing, and protection. The cards are in the form of printed circuit boards with protection by excess voltage shunts (10) held in contacts (9) on the cards. The whole permits a compact and elastic structure for the distributor in which testing or switching modifications can be easily carried out. |
