<p>A double barrelled shot gun has two stops and a block (1) with a pivot pin (2) through it, moving in a slot (3') in a fixed lug (3) inside the breech to guide the alignment of a rod (6') to oppose the recoil of the hammers (9, 10), as in the main patent. This block carries a swinging latch (11) which can move into contact with either of the hammers. After firing of one shot, this latch can swing over reaching to operate the other hammer for the second shot. The breech can be fitted with a push button to control this latch to operate one of the two hammers as required. The rear faces of the two hammers is sloping, and the latch has a tapered end to match the two sloping edges.</p> |
