<p>1500333 Illuminated signs CHANNELUME SA 7 Feb 1975 [11 Oct 1974] 5269/75 Heading G5C A profiled section which may be used to make up casings for illuminated signs or letters, consists of a metallic strip 1 one of whose longitudinal side edges is bent back on the interior face to form a rebated rib 3 which bears against a foamed plastics sealing strip 4. The other longitudinal side edge is bent back twice as at 9, 10, the inner face of the strip here being given a butyrate coating 7 which will bond with a hot or melting sealing strip 13 to make a permanent seal with a plastics panel 12. A wooden or plastics board 15 is fitted detachably to ribs 3 by screws 16. The double-folded rib may be covered by an angle section moulding 18.</p> |
