<p>The instrument has a cylindrical housing with an inner shell and outer shell with two open ends. In the vicinity of one end the piezoelement is fitted to an anvil by a pin. In the upper part of the housing, a hammer is slidingly fitted with a spring loading it towards a striking pin. The housing has an extended part serving as a stopping edge for the turned-over edges of an operating button which is loaded by a spring in direction away from the piezoelement. Inside the button stem of the hammer is slidingly fitted. The stem also carries a rigidly fitted expanding spring with legs resting on the inner part of extension. A trigger bushing is resting with its bottom edge on the outer surface of the legs. for operation the button is pressed downwards compressing spring. At the end of the compression the trigger bushing is moved downwards with its edges narrowing the diametric distance between the legs until they clear the internal shoulder of an extension nad the hammer is ejected by the spring force and strikes the pin producing a piezoelectric energy of invariable intensity. After the impact the hammer is returned to its basic position by a spring.</p> |
