<p>The set of seedbed blocks are joined together by binding material in a row. Each block has a top surface for the plant (16), and a bottom one on which it stands, and the binding material comprises two strips (13, 14), each running part of the way round each of the blocks (A - E) in succession and forming a joining strip (19, 21) between adjacent ones. The two strips are secured to each other between the blocks, enclosing the sides of the latter but leaving the tops and bottoms exposed. The material of each block can be sufficiently compressed to maintain its shape between the strips, each of which can run half the way round each of the blocks.</p> |
