<p>Appts. for obtaining drinking and/or service water from sea water operates by the evaporator principle and consists of a heat energy generator for producing current and processheat. The whole plant is mfd., mounted on at least one float ready for operation, and opt. test driven, all independently of the site of application. In an example, the plant has an inlet for entry of sea water into preliminary and fine filtering appts. opt. followed by chlorinating means. Some of the water passed through the heat recovery section of the evaporator, after adding H2SO4, is freed from CO2 and O2 in a decarbonator and vacuum degasser.</p> |
