The centrifugal plastics fan rotor has blades which are curved to the rear. The blades are mounted on a disc of sheet metal. The rotor assembly is open opposite to the intake side, and it has feet or dowels (2) fitting into holes drilled in the rotor disc. The portions protruding beyond the holes are welded or riveted into position. There can be two such dowels protruding from the front face of each fan blade. The design combines cheapness of manufacture with good heat dissipation.
