<p>Dye is applied with compressed air, using a feed gun in an appts. where the dye liquor may be recycled. The compressed air drives out air bubbles caught in the coupling elements of the fastener, which acts as a filter for the dye liquor replacing the air bubbles. An air drier may be used to dry the fastener ribbon support, followed by infra-red heating. Both the ribbon and the hydrophobic monofilament coupling elements are dyed satisfactorily.</p> |
