Process for the manufacture of aluminium ethylphosphite which consists in reacting an excess of a ternary equilibrium mixture comprising, in molar terms, from 23 to 93% of diethyl phosphite, from 59 to 7% of monoethyl phosphite and from 18 to 0.1% of phosphorous acid, with alumina, which may be hydrated, at a temperature between 20 and 100.degree.C under reduced pressure, all or substantially all the water resulting from the reaction being removed as it is formed. |
