An alphanumeric and graphic display unit enabling visual reproduction of alphanumeric and graphical information on the screen of a C.R.T. is developed to produce a more versatile compact unit. The unit has a display control circuit and a keyboard for inputting coded control data. Processing devices connected to the keyboard and the tube for digital display data processing contain read only stores with addressable program instructions in separate alphanumeric and graphic routines and direct access stores for intermediate result storage. Microprossers access and route the instructions to produce the data peripheral interfaces enable the keyboard and tube to function together.
