<p>A pulse noise suppression circuit is designed for use in an A.M. receiver. A gate circuit is included in the HF signal path to which a shut-off pulse is fed on detection of an interference pulse by an interference detector. The output of a gate (5) in the IF signal channel is fed through an IF storage circuit (7) to an HF amplifier (6) controlled by the interference detector (4) to increase its gain within the period of duration of the blocking pulse. This reduces the interference effect of the short period of suppression corresponding to the blocking out of an interfering pulse, and is partic. applicable in car radios.</p> |
