<p>A liq. dielectric compsn., used partic. in condensers and transformers, contains (a) >=1 dielectric liq. of known type, and (b) usually 1-40 wt.% of >=1 cpd. chosen from coumarin, 3,4-dihydrocoumarin, and their derivs., alkylated in position 3 and/or 4 partic. by =6C alkyl radicals. The compsn. can also contain the usual additives such as prods. which lower the surface tension of the liq., antioxidants, or purifying substances. The addn. of cpd. (b) to the known dielectric liq. (a) allows an increase in the permittivity of the final compsn. to the desired level, with retention of a satisfactory thermal stability.</p> |
