A gas compressor is provided with: a pair of screw rotors (1, 2) engaging with each other; and a casing (3) accommodating the screw rotors and forming a plurality of compression chambers (8). The tooth section (7A) of the male rotor (1) has an opening (12A) formed on the suction side and also has an end surface (13A) formed on the discharge side, and the tooth section (7A) is rotatably supported by a plurality of bearings (15A) provided to a stationary shaft (14A) inserted from the opening on the suction side. Likewise, the tooth section (7B) of the female rotor (2) has an opening (12B) formed on the suction side and also has an end surface (13B) formed on the discharge side, and the tooth section (7B) is rotatably supported by a plurality of bearings (15B) provided on a stationary shaft (14B) inserted from the opening on the suction side. The female rotor (2), which is a drive-side rotor, has a driven gear 21 provided on the suction side of the tooth section (17B) through an adapter (17B), and the driven gear (21) and a drive gear (20), which is provided on the rotating shaft (19) of a motor, mesh with each other. |
