In the case where communication is started by a new TCP connection immediately after termination of a TCP session, the time necessary to start the communication is reduced. A network system is provided with: a terminated-connection detection means that outputs a notification indicating detection of termination of a connection in the data receiving apparatus, on the basis of a packet transmitted from a data receiving apparatus; and an accumulated-packet processing means that reduces, on the basis of the notification, a transmission amount per unit time of packets transmitted toward the receiving apparatus and corresponding to the connection. |
