<p>The delivery valve closing spring (9) presses against an annular abutment (16) located in a widened part of the valve (18) bore. The abutment is secured without free play, by deforming the valve bore edge region (12a) to form a chamfered edge (17). The deformation is performed by a press consisting of a block (23) containing an axially displaceable centring pin (25). The block has an annular projection (27) with a conical profile running at a distance around the centraliser pin. The conical profile engages with an annular groove (21) formed in the delivery valve bearer face after the pin (25) has centralised in the abutment boring (30).</p> |
