<p>The direction indicator flasher lamp for an automobile has a bulb (I) fitting in a socket through a hole (32) in a metalised plastic reflector (30). The transparent plastic cover (10) is made in two parts. An inner U shaped piece (20) which is amber coloured and a flat outer piece (11) which is colourless. When viewed from outside, when the flasher is not operating, only the centre zone (21), where the two parts overlap, appears amber coloured. When the flasher is operating the reflected light passes through the amber side walls (22) before being reflected through the outer parts of the cover. The front cover then appears entirely amber.</p> |
