Cutter with replaceable carbide tip - has indexable carbide plate with support collar for road surface cutting

The cutter with replaceable carbide tip is used in rotating road surface cutting tools. A carbide cutter plate has integral collars on both sides. The cutter plate holder has a centering seat (8) for this collar. The holder shank has a contact flat (9). On wearing the cutter plate is indexed and clamped by a bolt (4). The cuting forces are accommodated by the collar and seat in the shank. After complete wear of all four sides the cutter plate is reversed and clamped and it is ready for a new working cycle.
