A typical skirt has a six panels widening gradually from top-to-bottom and joined two-by-two by sliding clasp fasteners. At the top end of each panel there is a section of waistband and an overhang having a button hole, whilst at the opposite end there are buttons. The front and side panels of the skirt can thus be rearranged or interchanged with those of another skirt; the rear panel being wider to allow for the fasteners. If the owner has a number of similar garments, there are numerous permutations possible for the arrangement of the patterned panels.
|
