The viscous damper has a cylindrical container (1), which contains liquid and is subdivided by radial walls (3) into chamber-like sections, and also a blade arrangement, which is coaxial with respect to the said container and has at least one blade (4) in each section. By a relative rotation between container (1) and blade arrangement, a damping of movable parts located outside the container takes place. The blades (4) are connected to the parts to be damped.
