1532368 Capacitors SIEMENS AG 23 Sept 1977 [24 Sept 1976] 39676/77 Heading H1M In a method of manufacturing capacitors by winding a laminate strip of dielectric and electrode material on to a large diameter drum 3 to form an annular parent capacitor which is radially severed into individual stack capacitors, a plurality of said annular capacitors are wound on a single drum in superimposed fashion, with a wide strip 5 of separating material between each of them, the end faces of the assembly are provided with contact coatings 4, the assembly is annealed and the projecting portions of the separating layers removed by abrading as at 6, the separating layers having been treated so that they adhere to the annular capacitor abutting their inner surface but not the one abutting their outer surface. This may be effected by adhesive layers 2, or by subjecting the surface to a glow discharge. |
