The furniture lock contains a cylindrical lock case (4) and a spring-loaded tumbler (13) which engages into recesses in the bottom plate of the lock bolt (6). To release the tumbler, there is a lifting-out device (15) which is moved essentially radially outwards by the key bit. The tumbler (13) is located outside the pivoting range of the key bit (11) in a free space which is defined by the eccentric arrangement of the key shank. The lifting-out device is a dimensionally stable, expediently two-armed tilting lever, the tilt axis of which is aligned parallel to the keyhole axis, one tilting-lever arm being grasped by the key bit during the unlocking of the lock, and the other thereby engaging on the tumbler located outside the pivoting range of the key bit. <IMAGE>
