The machine has a rigid elongated frame arranged behind the beaters or other mechanism which removes the fruit or berries from the plants or bushes. The fruit passes to conveyors (4) which have a tooth form upper surface. The conveyors are reciprocated to jerk the fruit over the successive teeth. At the rear end the conveyors are curved outwardly and these sections are subjected to an alternating pivoting movement, carrying the fruit in the same way to bucket elevators (24) for removal.
