PURPOSE:To make possible increasing of the density of long-length magnetic tapes in particular by partly ionizing and directing vapor current of a ferromagnetic mother material to the base material moving along the peripheral side surface of a cylindrical can in a vacuum atmosphere in which partial pressure of O2 is specified.
