PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a corrosion suppression device and method for a boiler that can reduce consumption of corrosion suppression particles.SOLUTION: A corrosion suppression device for a boiler 18 for receiving exhaust gas of a waste incinerator 10 includes: a corrosion suppression particle blowing-in device 20 that is provided on a wall portion of a flue 18A, 18B, 18C in the boiler 18 on the upstream side of exhaust gas relative to a heat transfer pipe group 19 of the boiler 18 to blow corrosion suppression particles having a melting point higher than a boiler interior temperature into the boiler; and a dust collecting device 23 provided downstream of a boiler outlet to collect the corrosion suppression particles in exhaust gas. The dust collecting device and the corrosion suppression particle blowing-in device are connected with each other so that the corrosion suppression particles collected by the dust collecting device 23 are returned and supplied to the corrosion suppression particle blowing-in device 20.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
