PURPOSE:To make balance adjustment of crystal vibrating reeds easy by so shaping off the end portions of the arms of the crystal vibrating reeds that the IC value (crystal impedance) of the crystal vibrating reeds become a required minimum value while monitoring a measuring instrument. CONSTITUTION:The root part 8 of turning fork type crystal vibrating reeds 7 is directly held in place by a jig 9 for temporary fixing, and the measuring electrode terminal 11 provided to the jig 9 is connected to a measuring instrument 12. Thereupon, while the measuring instrument 12 is being monitored, the end parts of the arms 13 of the crystal vibrating reeds 7 are shaped off so that the CI value of the crystal vibrating reeds 7 becomes the required minimum value, whereby the balance adjustment of the crystal vibrating reeds 7 may be made easy. |
