1. A material for organic electroluminescence device comprising a nitrogen-containing heterocyclic compound A represented by formula (1):wherein:
each of R1 and R2 independently represents a hydrogen atom or a group; when both R1 and R2 represent the groups, R1 and R2 may be bonded to each other to form a ring structure; each of Ar1 and Ar2 independently represents a substituted or unsubstituted arylene group having 6 to 50 ring carbon atoms or a substituted or unsubstituted heteroarylene group having 5 to 50 ring atoms; one of ring atoms of Ar1 is bonded to Ar2, and another ring atom of Ar1 which is adjacent to the ring atom bonded to Ar2 is bonded to a nitrogen atom shown in formula (1); one of ring atoms of Ar2 is bonded to Ar1, and another ring atom of Ar2 which is adjacent to the ring atom bonded to Ar1 is bonded to Y shown in formula (1); Y represents a carbon atom or a nitrogen atom; and C represents a substituted or unsubstituted aromatic hydrocarbon ring or a substituted or unsubstituted aromatic heterocyclic ring.
