A device for the removal of urinous substances from blood by simultaneous filtration and dialysis thereof comprises in one embodiment a housing (4) divided by at least one filtration membrane (7) and at least one dialysis membrane (5) into three flow chambers. Blood passes through the housing from inlet (3a) to outlet (3b) via the third flow chamber (III) in a thin film in contact with the membranes (5, 7). A first flow chamber (I) having an outlet (1) for the filtrate and a second flow chamber (II) having an inlet (2a) and an outlet (2b) for the dialysate are provided on the opposite sides of the respective membranes (7, 5) from the third flow chamber. In other embodiments, independent filtration and dialysis modules are situated in a common housing. The membranes may be fold membranes, flattened hose membranes, or capillary membranes. <IMAGE> |
