2-Alkyl-5-phenyl-6-(4-dialkylamino-phenyl)-1,2,4-triazin -3-one and 3-thione derivs. fo formula (I) and their acid addn. salts are new (where R is lower alkyl; R1 is opt. branched lowr alkyl, alkenyl alkynyl or -(Ch2)n-NR2R3; R n is 2-4; R2, R3 are lower alkyl or together with the N atom form a heterocyclic ring; Y is H, halo, lower alkyl, alkoxy or -N(R)2 and X is O or S. Used as analgesics and blood platelet aggregation inhibitor used to treat rheumatic troubles, various pains and in the prevention of atheroma. (I) is administered orally, parenterally or rectally in classical formulations e.g. unit doses of 50-200 mg are administered orally to give a max. daily dose of 1000mg.
