The low frequency system transmits by induction through non magnetic material to which access is difficult. This system is used to control manufacture of internal surface of very long tubes. The output of the measuring sensor (1) is passed via a matching amplifier circuit (4) to a transmission circuit (5) whose output drives inductive winding (6) on a magnetic core (7). The transmission passes through walls (3) of a tube to inductive receiving winding (8) on a magnetic core (9). This is coupled to receiver (10) which drives utilisation circuit (2).
