The guide consists of a frame supporting a series of roller pairs arranged side by side, each roller being mounted at its ends on chocks displaceable transversely relative to the casting direction, between two uprights of the frame, each chock of one of the rollers of one pair being held against a chock of the other roller of the said pair by a thrust member (8, 9). To facilitate retraction of the thrust member (8, 9), the latter is pivotably mounted, on the side of the guide, at the end of a lever arm (10) articulated at the lower part of the two adjacent uprights about shafts (11a and 11b) parallel to the direction of the casting stream. <IMAGE>
