<p>PURPOSE:To prepare the title oxidase useful as a research and diagnosis reagent, by culturing strains of the genus Aerococcus. CONSTITUTION:Strains of the genus Aerococcus, e.g. Aerococcus viridans IFO 12219 or 12317, are cultured in a medium, preferably in a liquid one, and oxidase is obtained from the culture. Ordinary nutrient sources may be used. USE:L-alpha-GP-oxidase is an oxidase based on the L-alpha-glycero-3-phosphoric acid as a substrate in the metabolism, in vivo and used for determining L-alpha-glycero-3-phophosphoric acid, glycerol, glyceride, phosphatidic acid, and other lipids, or enzymic activities, e.g. glycerokinase.</p> |
