An anti-g suit for the pilot of a high speed aircraft is inflated with air at a pressure proportional to the value of 'g' to which the pilot is subjected when pulling out of a high speed dive. The bladders (9) are divided into compartments with walls (7, 7') bonded to the internal surfaces along the turned over edges (8, 8'). This prevents the bladders from assuming an oroid shaped and allows a uniform pressure to be exerted on the body of the pilot.
