Plastics beer barrel bung is a hollow body, open to the outside and fitted inside with seating collars adapted to engage the seating edge of a siphon. The bung is provided, near its lower end, with >=1 circumferential sealing lip whose dia. is greater than of the bung hole of a beer barrel. The bung has a concave bottom and can be force-lockingly fitted into the bung hole. Above the sealing lip, a supporting ring is moulded-on about the outside of the bung, and above that, there are longitudinal slots applied into the wall of the bung.
