<p>The coupling or braking mechanism includes an armature connected by three mounting points (12) through a flat elastic ring to an adjustable ring (5, 6), which takes up play. The rings (5, 6) have cut away portions (14, 15) extending parallel to the axes of the mountings (12) forming elastic cores (13) connecting the body of each ring to the mounting. A grip screw (8) passes through each ring perpendicular to the plastic cores, and to the axis of the mounting. If the play between the surfaces is too great, the grip screw is unscrewed until the surfaces are level, and then re-tightened by a set angle, which depends on the size of the screw, to set the required amount of play. The adjustment provides a simple compensation for the amount of play in an electromagnetic coupling of electromagnetic braking mecahnism.</p> |
