Composite blocks for building wall - uses two parallelepiped forms for infill and corner sited providing insulation and mortar joints

The system uses two types of parallel pipes prefabricated blocks (M, A) to construct building walls, the two blocks being utilised at infill and corner situations respectively, and the block construction in association with mortar jointing fulfilling the cladding and insulation functions. The inner two thirds of the standard block meets the load bearing function being constituted of materials with high grade structural properties, and may be of a longitudinal cellular construction. The remainder (Q) fo the block is of material of inferior structural grades and meets the insulating function, may also be part cellular, and may have dummy bed joints (9). The opposed major vertical faces of the infill blocks are provided with exposable internal (I) and external (E) surfacings respectively, whilst two perpendicular faces of the corner blocks have external surfacings (E).
