Timepiece stepping motor drive wheel - includes perpendicular spring pegs cooperating with toothed seconds wheel

The stepping motor, in a timepiece mechanism, has a drive wheel (2) which has a number of spaced spring pegs (3), projecting perpendicular to the plane of the wheel (2). Each of these pegs (3) in turn can fit between two adjacent teeth of the seconds wheel (1), for indexing the latter during stepped rotation of the drive wheel (2). Pref. the spring pegs (3) are integral with the drive wheel (2), which is formed of plastics and which is attached to a multi-pole magnet, the two together providing the rotor of the stepping motor. The opposite sides of the drive wheel (2) to the pegs (3) may have a cylindrical projection which fits around the shaft of the stepping motor.
