Graphics display facility for VDU - has windows with associated raster counters and picture element stores

The graphics display facility allows curves, graphs and special symbols to be faded in on any part of the display screen in so-called graphics windows. Several traces can be shown in one window. A window store is fed with signals representing the status of a raster counter incorporating an abscissa and an ordinate counter stage. The coordinates of the picture or window elements are stored in the window store. The addresses of the store represent picture elements. A logic "1" is written into the line when a point on a curve has to be displayed at the associated picture element.
