Low profile extrusion press - has two extruding tools moving against each other by hydraulic cylinders fitted sidewise of tools

The extrusion press is installed in a pit projecting by half of its height above the floor. The press consists of a closed frame with a vertical extruding mandrel fitted on a cross bar. Underneath the extrusion mandrel, extruding equipment is fitted comprising rings and cylinders and is fitted slidingly on the frame. Next to the extruding equipment, hydraulic cylinders are provided on both sides and fixed to the frame with two piston rods fitted to the cross beam. When pressure is applied on the hydraulic cylinders the extruding equipment is slid over the mandrel. By arranging the hydraulic cylinders on both sides of the extruding equipment the overall height of the press is reduced.
