Bearing for the rotor of an open-end spinning machine having a horizontal shaft mounted between a pair of roller bearings held in a housing which is fixed resiliently within an outer, leaving a space within which is an intermediate shell which is longer than the bearing housing and has sealed ends to create annular sauces between them and the ends of the bearing housing. The end spaces are connected together by at least one longitudinal channel in the body of the intermediate shell, which also contains a suply lubricating, and communicates with the gap between the shaft and the housing through at least one opening midway along the housing. This construction gives a long-life bearing which does not require external components to maintain the lubrication, and is not prone to over-excessive lubrication.
